Our partners are also members of the Meals on Wheels America network and meet the nutritional standards set forth by the Older Americans Act Title III-C. We further ensure that these programs operate with minimal or no waiting lists, indicating they have the funding necessary to meet community needs.
How proceeds flow
When you donate a vehicle to SacraCar Share, approximately 70-80% of the gross proceeds from auction sales reach our charity partners after covering towing and processing costs. We then apply a program ratio to ensure your contribution has the greatest possible impact on senior meal programs. This means your donation directly supports the services that feed and care for our seniors in Sacramento.
